Dirk Reheul

The research group Plant breeding for sustainable crop production of the department Plants and Crops (Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, Ghent University) conducts plant breeding research and is developing varieties of the grass species tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.). We also hold a modest collection of small seeded, tannin free faba beans and of forage maize. The breeding work with maize has been put on hold; the work with faba beans is currently reviving.
